HOW IT WORKS
The concept is simple. Human male urine is approximately 96% water. The question is, why use water to move water? The ZeroFlush urinal trap utilizes a time tested, proven method and technology to move urine into the waste system and eliminate urinal odors. The housing has a removable and replaceable drain insert that creates a very efficient vertical “S” trap system. In fact, the unique ZeroFlush trap system acts as a filter that helps to prevent the hard buildup in drains as is commonly experienced with competitive brands. The key to water free urinal technology is a biodegradable liquid odor barrier that floats on top of other fluids beneath it and essentially seals off all odor from the depths of the urinal. The sealant is contained in a replaceable trap that is installed at the bottom of the urinal into a fitting that is connected to a drainpipe. This trap and odor barrier typically requires replacement only twice per year, depending on the frequency of uses. Waterless urinals are also more sanitary than traditional flush units. The reason for this is that many bacteria require media such as water in which to survive. By eliminating the media, you will also eliminate the bacteria and accompanying odors.
